Prishtina, November 14, 2016 – The President of the Republic of Kosovo, Hashim Thaçi, has received today the Rector, the Secretary and the Vice-Rector of the University of Applied Sciences in Ferizaj.
By Rector Bajraktari, the President has been informed about the progress of university, about the programs and the infrastructure projects.
President Thaçi emphasized that the University of Ferizaj within a short time has turned into an institution of high professional education not only for Ferizaj, but also for the region.
“I congratulate you, the staff and students who with work and commitment have built a university, which offers special programs in Kosovo and the region. Many young people from Macedonia, Albania and different cities of Kosovo are studying at this University as well”, said President Thaçi.
On the other hand, the Rector of the University of Applied Sciences in Ferizaj, Agron Bajraktari, has thanked President Thaçi for the support he has given to the University in the past years.
Bajraktari stressed that in addition to study programs they are also working on the establishment of the university infrastructure.
“Our priority is the construction of two laboratories and the construction of dormitories and canteen for the students, since we have added request by the students of the regional states”, said Bajraktari.
President Thaçi added that through its specifications this university has become an example of the interconnection of the labour market demand, with the provision of study programs.
