Prishtina, January 18, 2017 – The President of the Republic of Kosovo, Hashim Thaçi, received today the former President of the Republic of Albania, Bamir Topi.
The Head of State thanked former President Topi for the visit and for his contribution for Albania and Kosovo.
“I am a witness of your personal commitment for Kosovo. Our country and our citizens are forever grateful for your contribution”, said President Thaçi during the meeting.
On the other hand, former Albanian President, Bamir Topi, said he felt good in every meeting with President Thaçi.
“You are an example with your experience in politics. I commend you for the reaction of statesman on the issue of the train”, said former President Topi.
President Thaçi stressed that Kosovo continues to be consolidated as a state.
“To the calls for war and walls and partitions we answer with calls for peace, dialogue and Euro-Atlantic integration”, concluded President Thaçi.
