President Thaçi talks with Albanian students from Macedonia about strengthing the role of the youthPrishtina, April 5, 2017 - The President of the country, Hashim Thaçi, received today over twenty Albanian students from different universities of Macedonia.
Speaking about bring closer together young Albanians from Kosovo and Macedonia, President Thaçi said that now everything is connected with commitment, work and joint student projects, because opportunities exist.
“Today there is freedom of movement. There are inter-university cooperations. Students make transfers and attend studies in Prishtina, Tetovo and Skopje, in accordance with European experience. Even the highway “Arben Xhaferi”, which brings Albanians even closer, is heading towards finalization. The joint student projects strengthen role of the youth”, said President Thaçi.
“You are the future and we support your projects!”, he added.
Whereas, the representative of the Albanian students from Macedonia, Arton Rama, speaking about the commitment in different social, political and cultural projects, stressed that their focus is on increasing cooperation between the youth in Macedonia and Kosovo.
“As youngsters we highly appreciate your efforts and contribution for the unification of Albanians in Macedonia. Most of us are part of different organizations and institutes. We are students from the State University of Tetovo, from the South East European University, then we have students also from the International Balkan University of Skopje, and from the University St. Cyril and Methodius. We are in Kosovo, because we love Kosovo. We want to increase the cooperation between students where young Albanians attend studies”, said the student representative from Macedonia.
The students were also interested about important processes through which Kosovo, Macedonia and the Western Balkan countries are going through.
With President Thaçi, they also discussed about the economic opportunities that the highway “Arben Xhaferi” will offer when it will be released.
