The President thanked the Secretary of State for the support that the Vatican has given to the people of Kosovo, saying that now is the time to deepen the cooperation between Kosovo and the Holy See.

“A gratitude for the achievements of Kosovo would be the recognition by the entire international community. The recognition of Kosovo would mean the recognition of the aspiration for freedom and equality, recognition of human rights and freedoms”, the President said.

President Thaçi has also informed Secretary Parolin about the preparations made for the law on religious freedoms awaiting the approval of the new Assembly of Kosovo.
