Prishtina, 4 May, 2016 – President of the Republic of Kosovo, Hashim Thaçi met today with the Commander of the Kosovo Security Force, Lt. Gen. Rrahman Rama
They discussed the transition process of the KSF, which is carrying out all the necessary preparations for the next 10 years of its new mission.
President Thaçi congratulated Commander Rama for successfully running the KSF.
He praised the work of this important for for the country and congratulated his guest on the very institutional cooperation.
KSF Commander Rrahman Rama said that, at any stage of development, the KSF will maintain existing capacity and will professionalise its staff.
“KSF is working closely with Kosovo’s allies. Its troops are attending joint programs with various countries, including Albania, Slovenia, Croatia, Poland, Germany”, Rama said, reiterating the permanent cooperation with KFOR and the close cooperation with the Iowa National Guard, which he said that KSF is exchanging importance experience.
Rama said that the best KSF’s most distinguished members are marking great achievements in military academies all around the world.
President of the Republic of Kosovo, Hashim Thaçi said that “KSF, with its multiethnic composition and gender balance, reflects the new state of Kosovo”.
