President Thaçi received the United Kingdom Minister of State for the Armed Forces, they speak about the KSF

Prishtina, November 30, 2017 - The President of the Republic of Kosovo, Hashim Thaçi, received today the Minister of State for the Armed Forces of Great Britain, Mark Lancaster.

President Thaçi thanked British Minister Mark Lancaster for the continued cooperation and support of Great Britain for the recognition of Kosovo and the membership into international organizations.

“We greatly appreciate the continued support of Great Britain for Kosovo. Without your help and of the other friend states, Kosovo would not be able to strengthen its international subjectivity”, said President Thaçi.

With the Minister of State for the Armed Forces of Great Britain, Mark Lancaster, President Thaçi also talked about the Kosovo Security Force and the process of transforming it into the Armed Forces of Kosovo.

Whereas, British Minister, Mark Lancaster, who had previously also served as a KFOR soldier in Kosovo, said that he was impressed with the positive developments and changes in Kosovo.

“Kosovo has done a very good job on integrating communities and the Kosovo Security Force has reached high standards”, said Minister Lancaster.

Speaking about the political developments in the Western Balkans, Minister Lancaster emphasized that Great Britain supports the continuation of Kosovo’s dialogue with Serbia in Brussels, facilitated by the European Union.
