Prishtina, October 10 – The President of the Republic of Kosovo, Hashim Thaçi, today has received in a joint meeting the representatives of the families of the missing persons of the Albanian and Serb community.
At this joint meeting there was discussed about the necessity of an as soon as possible solution on the issue of missing persons.
“The issue of the missing is the most urgent issue and requires immediate concrete steps”, said President Thaçi.
He has thanked the representatives of the families of the missing persons of both communities for their willingness to meet and to work together to clear up the fate of their relatives.
“I congratulate you on the willingness to work together on this very sensitive issue”, added President Thaçi.
He has said that the issue of the missing is a humanitarian issue.
“Politics must help in the closure of this painful chapter”, said President Thaçi.
At this meeting it has been said that the issue of the missing must be raised as soon as possible at the highest levels in Brussels.
“It has to be raised at the highest levels, in Brussels as well, as a topic that does not wait any more”, concluded President Thaçi.
