Prishtina, January 17th – The President of the Republic of Kosovo, Hashim Thaçi, received in a meeting the representatives of “Millenium Challenge Corporation” from Washington, James A. Gerard, Brian Forni and Sarah Olmstaed, accompanied by Petrit Selimi, MCC Kosovo coordinator.
In this meeting, James Gerard informed President Thaçi that the work of the MCC in Kosovo is “going very well” and that now MCC is “walking towards the stage when it will begin to implement projects for Kosovo”.
President Thaçi congratulated them for the work they have done and said that “he supports the work of the MCC” and that there will be “coordination with the government to support the projects of MCC”.
“Your projects are in accordance with the priorities of Kosovo”, said President Thaçi, adding that “therefore we fully support the work of the MCC in Kosovo”.
Millenium Challenge Corporation is a US bilateral aid agency, established by the US Congress in 2004.
