Prishtina, October 17 – The President of the Republic of Kosovo, Hashim Thaçi, recieved today in an introductory meeting the new Head of the World Bank Mission in Kosovo, Marco Mantovanelli, whom he wished welcome and success on his new assignment.
“We have installed a tradition of good cooperation between the state institutions of Kosovo and the World Bank and the opportunity to deepen this cooperation is welcome”, said President Thaçi.
On the other hand, the new Head of the World Bank Mission in Kosovo, Marco Mantovanelli, expressed his happiness for the opportunity to work in Kosovo.
“We are preparing a new cycle of World Bank assistance”, said Mantovanelli, confirming that the support for most sectors shall be continued, especially for agriculture, waters, health and information technology.
President Thaçi assured the new Head of the World Bank Mission in Kosovo, that he will have the support of the Office of the President for the implementation of the projects foreseen for Kosovo.
