President Thaçi received the credentials of the first resident Ambassador of Sweden in Kosovo

Prishtina, October 18, 2016 – The President of the Republic of Kosovo, Hashim Thaçi, has received the credentials of the first resident Ambassador of the Kingdom of Sweden in Kosovo, Henrik Nilsson.

President Thaçi welcomed Ambassador Nilsson, expressing the readiness that the excellent cooperation between Kosovo and Sweden to deepen and expand even more.

“We are grateful for the continued support of Sweden for more than two decades”, said President Thaçi.

“I hope that now with the new presence we will even more expand our cooperation”, he added.

On the other hand, Ambassador Nilsson expressed his happiness for this “historic day” in the relations between the two countries and for the opportunity to serve as the first Ambassador of Sweden in Kosovo.

“We will continue to support Kosovo in the process of European integration”, said Ambassador Nilsson.

President Thaçi confirmed to Ambassador Nilsson the support of the Office of the President for the Swedish projects to the benefit of Kosovo and the whole region.
