President Thaçi received Ambassador Pekka MetsoPrishtina, 29 August –President of the Republic of Kosovo, Hashim Thaçi, received today the Ambassador Pekka Metso, Plenipotentiary Ambassador for inter-cultural and inter-religious dialogue processes at the Finnish Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Helsinki, with whom he discussed about commitment for dialogue in the region.
President Thaçi informed Ambassador Metso that Kosovo remains committed to dialogue as a means for building sustainable peace in the region.
“Kosovo seeks new dynamic of the dialogue with Serbia to bring the process on track for good neighbourly relations, reconciliation and recognition between two states”, said President Thaçi.
“We have also initiated internal dialogue, between communities, for internal reconciliation”, said President Thaçi and noted that “Kosovo has especially succeeded in promoting dialogue between religions”.
“The Inter-Faith Conference has made Kosovo an example in the world for dialogue between different religions”, stated President Thaçi.
