New York, September 23, 2017 – The President of the Republic of Kosovo, Hashim Thaçi, met last evening with the President of Guyana, David Arthur Granger.
He said that we welcome the appointment of the first non-resident Ambassador Kosovo to Guyana.
The counterparts expressed interest in increasing economic cooperation, including also the mining field, and trade exchanges between the two countries
The Head of State stressed that Guyana’s support for Kosovo’s membership into international organizations is very important.
President Thaçi said Guyana can support Kosovo to convince the CARICOM states which have not recognized Kosovo to accept its independence.
Both state leaders also discussed about the possibilities for cooperation between the two countries in various educational programs and student exchange.
