Prishtina, June 30th, 2016 – President of the Republic of Kosovo, Hashim Thaçi met today with the Rector of the University of Tirana, Prof. Dr. Mynyr Koni.

President Thaçi said that the University of Tirana has played a very important role in the education and emancipation of Albanians.
“There should be a closer cooperation between public universities in Kosovo and the University of Tirana in the field of science”, President Thaçi said.
Meanwhile, rector Kone took pride in the fact that President Thaçi holds the Dr. Honoris Causa title of the University of Tirana.
“We are proud that a Dr. Honoris Causa of our university is also President of Kosovo. You have had a decisive role in advancing the political rights of Albanians”, rector Koni said.
President of the Republic of Kosovo, Hashim Thaçi thanked his guest for his willingness to deepen cooperation between education institutions of Kosovo and Albania.
