President of the Republic of Kosovo, Hashim Thaçi received today the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Norway to Kosovo, Jan Braathu, with whom he discussed the political development in Kosovo and the region, as well as his priorities as President of Kosovo.
President Thaçi said that Kosovo’s how now returned to political stability, which is followed by an increasly intensified dialogu. “The Stabilisation and Association Agreement (SAA) has positively influenced the political dialogue within Kosovo as political parties from across the spectrum gathered to discuss the implementation of the SAA”, President Thaçi added.
He said that “the priorities of the Presidency will be the rule of law, economic development and strengthening of the democratic functioning of state institutions”.
On the other hand, the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Norway to Kosovo, Jan Braathu welcomed the fact that Kosovo has overcome the political tensions and that the attention has now turned to cooperation and efforts towards the development of Kosovan state and society.
President Thaçi reiterated that he will also support the external dialogue, with Serbia, the region and the EU.
