President of the Republic of Kosovo, Hashim Thaçi, met today with former President, Fatmir Sejdiu, with whom he discussed Kosovo’s Euro-Atlantic integration process and other issues of interest to the country.
Former President Sejdiu congratulated President Thaçi upon assuming the office of the head of state, while President Thaçi thanked him on the work done during his term as president in the past.
President Thaçi and former President Sejdiu also discussed the democratic reforms and challenges which Kosovo institutions are facing in the path to European integration, where they stressed the need to strengthen political and civic unity.
Also, they discussed the role of the presidency in foreign policy and in enhancing Kosovo’s international subjectivity.
