Kaçanik, July 12th 2018 – President of the Republic of Kosovo, Hashim Thaçi, accompanied by the mayor of Kaçanik, Besim Ilazi, visited today “Kivo” factory in Kaçanik, a mixed Kosovar-Dutch investment factory with over 110 employees.
President Thaçi said that this factory is the best proof that “Made in Kosovo” products are being more and more exported into European markets.
“I believe that such a model, as the one here in “Kivo”, is the best possible model for private businesses, for local and international cooperation, for a good business climate in the Republic of Kosovo, for the workforce, for the attractiveness of investment in Kosovo, and it’s also proof that despite difficulties, “Made in Kosovo” products are everywhere, in Netherlands, in Germany, in France, in most important European countries, and beyond”, said President Thaçi.
The head of state said that this opportunity set by the owners of “Kivo” is a good perspective for Kaçanik and an opportunity for the creation of new working places.
“It is really a very good perspective for Kaçanik, for the inhabitants of Kaçanik, and for the creation of new working places, for their further employment, for the increase of social wellbeing of their families, but also a an opportunity for an expertise for expansion in other areas of the Republic of Kosovo”, added President Thaçi.
Mayor of Kaçanik Municipality, Besim Ilazi, said that this company is an example for the others.
“I believe and hope that with the experience and influence which the owners of this company have had, they have achieved an extraordinary thing, and as a matter of fact we have had other expressions of interest in the Kaçanik Municipality”, said Mayor Ilazi.
Owner of the “Kivo” factory, Visar Ramajli, said that the company produces flexible packaging.
“It is a joint investment of local and Dutch investors, and it has been operational for the last four years and it successfully exports to the countries of the European Union”, said Ramajli.
President Thaçi said at the end that institutions of the country are side by side with the investors, to as much as they can, ease their engagements for opening of the new opportunities for business, new working places and for a better social wellbeing.
