President Thaçi in Sarajevo: Cooperation and friendship accelerate the regions integration in the EUSarajevo May 28th, 2016 President of the Republic of Kosovo, Hashim Thaçi is participating at the two-day summit of regional leaders in Sarajevo, in the framework of the Brdo-Brijuni Process.
The summit is attended by most of the presidents of the Western Balkan countries.
Presidenti Thaçi attended tonight the plenary panel A New Deal for a New Age. As a panelist, President Thaçi said that the Brdo-Brijuni Process represents one of the main commitments of the European Union with regard to the development of the Balkans.
Infrastructure development and cooperation in the energy sector bring better cooperation and communication between the countries of the region, President Thaçi said in Sarajevo before other regional leaders, adding that cooperation and friendship that we are building as a region will contribute to faster integration of the region in the EU.
The head of state also attended the Summit 100 Business Leaders of Southeast Europe, organized on the sidelines of the summit of regional leaders in Sarajevo.
Meanwhile, tomorrow, President Thaçi will attend the plenary meeting of the heads of delegations at the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Hezegovina, welcomed by the chairman of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bakir Izetbegovic, President of Slovenia, Borut Pahor, and the President of Croatia, Kolinda Grabar-Kitarovic.
After the meeting, the three presidents hosting this years summit of Brdo-Brijuni Process, along with the President of Italy, Sergio Mattarella, will hold a joint press conference.
In the evening, before his return to Prishtina, President Thaçi will also attend the dinner hosted by the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina in honor of heads of delegations.
