Prishtina, November 25 – The President of the Republic of Kosovo, Hashim Thaçi, on the Day of the Kosovo Security Force (KSF) has congratulated the members of this force and all the citizens of Kosovo.
“The Kosovo Security Force has grown into a force of the highest international standards, cooperating closely with NATO and the armies of our friend countries, starting from the United States and up to Europe”, said President Thaçi.
President Thaçi said that today “The Kosovo Security Force” is a professional, multi-ethnic force, with adequate gender representation, the successes of which have exceeded the borders of Kosovo.
“Its units received the gold medal in the maneuvers in the United Kingdom, its cadets are trained and are distinguished for successes in the most prestigious military academies in the world. The troops of this force help in search-rescue actions in the region and beyond”, said President Thaçi, counting the successes of the KSF.
“They are our pride, our confidence in our secure future, in peace and stability”, said President Thaçi about the KSF members.
The Head of the State also confirmed that the future of the KSF is at its development into the Army of Kosovo.
“The Kosovo Security Force is now ready to be transformed into the Kosovo Armed Forces. This will be a force of the highest standards of NATO, professional, with wide inclusion of all communities and genders, to be committed to peace and stability in Kosovo, the region and worldwide”, concluded President Thaçi.
