Prishtina, March 29, 2018 – The President of the Republic of Kosovo, Hashim Thaçi, decreed today the new Governor of the Central Bank of Kosovo, Fehmi Mehmeti.
President Thaçi has said that the Central Bank has managed to maintain a stable financial system in Kosovo.
“As a regulatory institution in the financial system, in line with contemporary standards, the CBK has contributed to economic development and growth”, said President Thaçi.
Whereas, Governor Mehmeti has said that the Central Bank has consistently supported the overall economic policies of the Government of Kosovo.
“We will maintain the financial stability by promoting safe, efficient and sustainable systems”, said Governor Mehmeti.
President Thaçi wished good luck to Governor Fehmi Mehmeti on his new assignment.
