President Thaçi decorates the Prime Minister of the Republic of Albania with the Presidential Medal

The President of the Republic of Kosovo, Hashim Thaçi, has decorated the Prime Minister of the Republic of Albania, Edi Rama, with the Presidential Medal on the tenth anniversary of the independence.

President Thaçi expressed his gratitude to Prime Minister Rama for his visit to Kosovo on the occasion of the 10th anniversary of Kosovo’s independence

The Head of State said that “Today I had the honor and pleasure in my constitutional and legal authority to award the Presidential Medal on the occasion of the 10th anniversary of the independence to the Prime Minister of Albania, for his contribution to Kosovo’s freedom and independence.

Highly appreciating the contribution of Prime Minister Rama, President Thaçi said that his voice has been strong in support of the freedom, but also of the state-building.

“Highly praising and respecting the engagements for the consolidation of the state of Kosovo, in the most difficult processes through which our country has passed, Edi’s voice has been strong in support of Kosovo’s freedom, in support of the state-building process, and now of the as soon as possible consolidation and integration of Kosovo into NATO, and in the European Union”, said President Thaçi

Whereas Prime Minister Rama said that this is one of his most exciting moments.

“It’s undeniably one of the most exciting moments for me. It is an extraordinary honor, and I want to express my full gratitude to you personally and I want to thank Kosovo for this unforgettable emotion”, said Prime Minister Rama.

President Thaçi said that the project of the free and independent Kosovo, part of NATO and the European Union is also a joint project.
