President Thaçi condemns the damaging of the memorial plaque in Gracka

Prishtina, September 3 - The President of the Republic of Kosovo, Hashim Thaçi, has condemned the damaging of the memorial plaque in Old Gracka of Lipjan.

“The damaging of the memorial plaque in Old Gracka is condemnable”, said President Thaçi and added that “everyone who desires the best for Kosovo condemns this unacceptable act”.

He said that incidents like this violate the good interethnic relations that Kosovo is promoting, they cause fear, anger and hatred and no one in Kosovo needs this.

“By promoting dialogue, reconciliation, cooperation, the fighting of every extremism, we are accepted as part of the international community. Only by promoting these values we preserve the place we deserve in the international community”, added President Thaçi.

He emphasized that Kosovo can not permit to suffer because of a minority of extremists.

“The citizens of Kosovo, the vast majority, all communities, are for peace, for stability, for development, for a better life for all. Only a very small minority still nourishes extremist ideas and exclusion, fear and hatred. We will not allow this minority to affect the ambitions and aspirations of the majority of Kosovo”, concluded President Thaçi.
