President Thaçi and the Canadian Ambassador talk about expanding cooperation in the fields of economy and security

Prishtina, September 1, 2016 - The President of the Republic of Kosovo, Hashim Thaçi, has received today the Ambassador of Canada in Kosovo, Daniel Maksymiuk.

President Thaçi has thanked Ambassador Maksymiuk for Canada’s continued support for Kosovo and for its membership in international organizations.
Whereas, the Canadian Ambassador, Daniel Maksymiuk, said that like Canada, Kosovo as well promotes peace, reconciliation, the combating of extremism, therefore the support is not lacking.
“In the strengthening of values, on these principles we commit ourselves as well”, said Ambassador Maksymiuk.
President Thaçi and Ambassador Maksymiuk also discussed about the deepening of interstate cooperation in the field of economy and security.
“The possibilities exist and we need to expand the bilateral cooperation in the field of economy as well. Kosovo is open to Canadian investors”, said President Thaçi, adding that there is space to expand cooperation in the field of security as well.
