President Thaçi accepted the credentials of the new Ambassador of Germany

Prishtina, September 26 – President Hashim Thaçi accepted today the credentials of the Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany in Kosovo, Christian Heldt.

President Thaçi congratulated the German Ambassador for the new assignment, by offering him support in the advancement of the relations between our two countries.

The President reiterated that the German support for Kosovo and the region remains decisive for the region’s Euro-Atlantic future.

“Berlin remains an important political address for Kosovo. The victory of Chancellor Merkel in Sunday’s elections will strengthen the European Union and will increase the attention of the EU to Kosovo and the region”, he stressed.

President Thaçi said that he will work closely with the new Ambassador to increase trade exchanges with Germany.

On the other hand, the new Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany in Kosovo, Christian Heldt, has confirmed the support of the German state for the Euro-Atlantic perspective of Kosovo.
