President Thaçi, a panelist at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland

Prishtina, January 23, 2018 – The President of the Republic of Kosovo, Hashim Thaçi, has traveled today to Davos, Switzerland, where he will partcipate at the World Economic Forum.

During his stay in Davos, President Thaçi will be part of the panel on “The Acceleration of the Long-term Development of the Western Balkans”.

Other panelists, besides President Thaçi, will also be the Bulgarian Prime Minister, Boyko Borissov, the EU Commissioner for Neighbourhood Policy and Enlargement Negotiations, Johannes Hahn, the Croatian Prime Minister Andrej Plenkovic, the Albanian Prime Minister, Edi Rama, the Macedonian prime Minister, Zoran Zaev, the Serbian President, Aleksandar Vucic, the Montenegrin Prime Minister, Duško Markovic, UN representatives and the President of the World Economic Forum, Børge Brende.

The Economic Forum in Davos is expected to be attended by the US President, Donald Trump, the French President, Emmanuel Macron, the Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi, the Prime Minister of Great Britain, Theresa May, the Canadian Prime Minister, Justin Trudeau, the former Prime Minister of Great Britain, Tony Blair and the Presidents of Brazil, Argentina, Switzerland, several Presidents from Africa and the heads of the world’s most powerful corporations.

President Thaçi is expected to conduct numerous meetings with representatives of different countries of the world.

The World Economic Forum in Davos, this year brings together over 3,000 leaders from all over the world.
