President Sejdiu thanks President Obama for the United States support to Kosovo

At a reception hosted by the President of the United States on Wednesday, the President of the Republic of Kosovo, Dr. Fatmir Sejdiu, had a brief meeting with the President of the United States of America, Barack Obama. President Sejdiu thanked President Obama for the support that the United States has and is still providing to Kosovo and expressed his belief that the special relations between the Republic of Kosovo and the United States will be strengthened further.

President Sejdiu also met the National Security Advisor to President Obama, James Jones, and other high representatives of the State Department, including the Assistant Secretary of State for Europe and Eurasian Affairs, Phillip Gordon.

During the reception, President Sejdiu had fruitful discussions with other statesmen, including Prime Minister of Spain, President of Cyprus, Prime Minister of Nepal, the Prime Minister of Grenada, Deputy Prime Minister of Jamaica, Portuguese Minister of Foreign Affairs, Prime Minister of Montenegro, President of Macedonia and Prime Minister of Turkey.

During his visit to the United States, President Sejdiu will proceed with bilateral meetings with other statesmen attending the 64th session of the UN General Assembly.
