President Sejdiu talked to President Topi and Prime Minister Berisha

The President of Republic of Kosovo, Dr. Fatmir Sejdiu, had separate phone conversations with the highest state leaders of the Republic of Albania, President Bamir Topi and Prime Minister Sali Berisha, to whom he expressed the grave concern of the people and institutions of Kosovo over the recent floods in several parts of Albania.

President Topi and Prime Minister Sali Berisha informed President Sejdiu about the situation that has been created in the flooded zones of Albania. During these conversations, President Sejdiu informed President Topi and Prime Minister Berisha of his decision to send the Kosovo Security Force Search and Rescue Team to Albania to assist in the flooded zones.

Albanian highest state leaders thanked President Sejdiu for his decision and for Republic of Kosovo institutions’ offer to provide rescue boats and other equipment.
Expressing his solidarity with those who were affected by this natural disaster, President Sejdiu said the he was following the situation created in Albania attentively and commended the efforts that are being made by Albanian authorities and government to deal with this difficult situation.
