President Sejdiu conveyed his condolences to President Obama and American people

Following the deadly tsunami that hit the Pacific island nation of American Samoa, President Sejdiu sent a letter of condolence to the President of the United States of America, Barack Obama. Below you may read its contents:

Honorable President Obama:

On behalf of the institutions and the people of the Republic of Kosovo, I express to Your Excellency and the entire people of the United States of America my deepest condolences for the loss of life and damages caused by the recent earthquake and tsunami in the American Samoa. 

The news about this tragedy touched the hearts and minds of all my people, therefore, dear President Obama, please accept our deepest condolences.  At this difficult moment for your country, we offer you the friendship and solidarity of the people of Kosovo.  In these moments of sadness, we are with you in prayer.    
I am confident that Your Excellency and your people will overcome these difficult times.  God bless the victims of this tragedy and our friend the United States of America! 

Also, following the fatal tsunami that hit the Pacific island nation of Samoa, President Sejdiu has sent letters of condolence to the King of Tonga, George Tupou V, to the Head of the State of Samoa, Tupua Tamasese Tupuola Tufuga Efi and to the President of the Republic of Indonesia, Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono.
