The ceremony of the handover of duty from the former Acting President of the Republic of Kosovo Dr. Jakup Krasnqi to the newly elected President of the Republic of Kosovo Behgjet Pacolli was held today at the Cabinet of the President of the Republic of Kosovo.
At the meeting, Mr. Krasniqi congratulated President Pacolli on his new assignment and wished him success. On the other hand, Mr. Pacolli said that he would maintain a regular cooperation with the President of the Assembly Mr. Krasniqi, so as to contribute to a true state for all the people of Kosovo.
“Today we had a very good start, a proper start of a working day. We will continue to cooperate with the President of the Assembly of Kosovo, Mr. Krasniqi, in the future”, President Pacolli stated, addressing the media after the meeting.
“With its votes, the Assembly of Kosovo has entrusted the position of the President of Kosovo to Mr. Pacolli and I am here today to congratulate him on his new assignment. We have a division of powers and we will carry out our duties as provided by the Constitution of the Republic of Kosovo and laws that regulate the functions of both institutions”, the President of the Assembly of Kosovo Mr. Jakup Krasniqi said on the other hand.
