The President of the Republic of Kosovo, Mrs. Atifete Jahjaga, received today the Ambassador of the Republic of Latvia in Ljubljana, nonresident for Kosovo, Mr. Bahtijor Hasans.
The Ambassador of Latvia, Mr. Hasans, on this occasion handed over the credentials to the President of Kosovo, Madam Atifete Jahjaga. He said that both countries should deepen the cooperation among them and expressed his country’s readiness to help Kosovo in various fields.
Ambassador Hasans said that Latvia sees the future of Kosovo in the European Union.
The President of the Republic of Kosovo, Mrs. Atifete Jahjaga, thanked the Ambassador of Latvia for the help his country has given and continues to give to Kosovo and said that the cooperation between the two countries should be extended in particular in the economic field.
She said that Kosovo needs contractual relations with the EU, which would help accelerate the reforms in the country and found that Latvia will be able to help Kosovo on its European path, through its experience.
