President Jahjaga received Mrs. Louise Arbour

The President of the Republic of Kosovo, Mrs. Atifete Jahjaga received today the President of the International Crisis Group, Mrs. Louise Arbour, which she honored with the “Mother Teresa” humanitarian medal for her personal commitment and contribution given in the field of humanism.

Madam Arbour thanked the President for awarding her the medal and for the respect shown. She said that Kosovo has made progress in various fields and stressed the need for economic development.

President Jahjaga praised the contribution of the International Crisis Group for peace and for democracy in various regions, through the made reports and recommendations. She said that Kosovo needs the contractual relationship with the EU because it would clarify the way of European integration and this would help deepen the reforms in line with the European standards and requirements.

President Jahjaga said that she is against the partition of Kosovo, the exchange of territories and internal reorganizations.
