The President of the Republic of Kosovo, Mrs. Atifete Jahjaga received today the former President of the Republic of Croatia, Stjepan Mesic.
In a friendly meeting, the President thanked Mr. Mesic for his continuous commitment, during all periods, for the support of our country.
She talked about the goals and challenges of the people and institutions of the Republic of Kosovo on the path towards European integration. The President stressed that Kosovo needs to establish contractual relations with the EU, which would help to accelerate and deepen the reforms in our country and would clarify the European path of the Republic of Kosovo.
President Jahjaga also said that Kosovo and all its friends and supporters should have a continuous commitment in terms of lobbying for new recognitions of the country.
For his part, former President Mesic stressed the need for cooperation between the countries of the region, thus helping each other in important processes that they have ahead.
He expressed his readiness that, as until now, to give all his contribution in support of the state of Kosovo.
