President Jahjaga met with Madam Catherine Ashton

Vilnius, July 1, 2011 - The President of the Republic of Kosovo, Mrs. Atifete Jahjaga, who is participating at the conference “Women enhancing democracy: best practices” in Vilnius, Lithuania, had several meetings with high institutional officials and state leaders.

President Jahjaga had a very friendly meeting with EU High Representative for Foreign Policy and Security, Mrs. Catherine Ashton, with whom she discussed about a range of important issues.

At the meeting with Mrs. Ashton, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kosovo, Enver Hoxhaj, was also present.

The President also met with the Chairwoman of the Parliament of Latvia, Salvita Aboltina. In a long and friendly conversation, president Jahjaga and chairwoman Aboltina discussed about the cooperation between our two countries and about the intensification and the expansion of this cooperation in the future.

Furthermore, President Jahjaga, at the margins of the conference, met with the President of Mongolia, Elbegdorj Tsakhia, with whom she also discussed a range of subjects of interest.
