The President of the Republic of Kosovo, Mrs. Atifete Jahjaga, held Tuesday and Wednesday, consultative meetings with political party leaders, to determine the date of the elections for mayor of the Municipality of Kaçanik, after the resignation of the mayor of this municipality.
President Jahjaga within two days has had consultations with the Head of the Democratic League of Kosovo, Mr. Isa Mustafa, the Head of the movement “Vetëvendosje”, Mr. Albin Kurti, the Deputy Head of the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo, Mr. Blerim Shala and the Deputy Head of the Alliance New Kosovo, Mimoza Kusari -Lila, and she will continue the consultations during the next day.
Based on her constitutional powers, respecting the legal deadlines and in accordance with the leaders of the political parties in Kosovo, President Jahjaga will announce tomorrow (Thursday), the decision for the date of the elections for mayor in Kaçanik.
