The President of the Republic of Kosovo, Madam Atifete Jahjaga has congratulated all the teachers of the country, on the occasion of Teachers Day, the 7th of March.
In the felicitation it is said
The seventh of March marks the most important day in the history of Albanian education and is related with the opening of the first Albanian school, 125 years ago.
This date represents a real celebration and opportunity for us to thank all the teachers and other education employees for their irreplaceable contributions. On this day, we remember the hard work of teachers in all generations, from the renaissance up to the big sacrifice of teachers in Kosovo in the nineties, who kept the Albanian school alive, as a strong pillar of sustainability in our efforts to create the independent state of Kosovo.
Teachers continue to be the essential pillar of our state building, always committed to the education of new generations according to the requirements of time and standards of modern education.
For this, they deserve our limitless support and respect.
