The President of the Republic of Kosovo, Madame Atifete Jahjaga, during her visit to the Dartmouth College in Hanover, USA, awarded Dr. Jim Strickler the Mother Teresa humanitarian medal for his contribution in the field of humanity, for his contribution to Kosovo.
Dr. Jim Strickler is a member of the Board of the International Rescue Committee – IRC and during the war in Kosovo he has been Co-Chairman of the IRC. Since 2000 he has coordinated numerous activities of Dartmouth in Kosovo, which in the program has involved the bilateral sharing of information with the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Prishtina and programs funded by the USAID, for the improvement of the health of the child and mother in entire Kosovo. Dr. Strickler has established the foundation for “Healthy Mother and Child” and is the founding member of the Board of Trust of this foundation.
