The President of the Republic of Kosovo, Madam Atifete Jahjaga received today the Minister for Integration and of Cooperation for Development of Luxembourg, Ms. Marie Josée Jacobs. President Jahjaga and Madam Josée Jacobs discussed about the current developments in Kosovo, on further deepening of cooperation between the two countries and the assistance that Luxembourg can offer Kosovo in the integration processes.
President Jahjaga stressed that Luxembourg has given a continuous assistance to Kosovo and stressed the need for cooperation in the economic field and especially in increasing investment.
President Jahjaga stressed that Kosovo is a state built on the principle of citizenship which respects the rights of all communities and a country that has built good relations with all the countries of the region, as a basic principle for EU membership.
She said that the experience of Luxembourg in the integration processes is important and can serve as example for Kosovo.
The Minister of Luxembourg, Madam Marie Josée Jacobs, said that the cooperation between the two countries should be deepened and that her country is ready to assist Kosovo in all fields and in its processes. She said that after the visits she has made to several cities in Kosovo, is convinced of the potentials that the Republic of Kosovo has and stressed the commitment of the Government of Luxembourg to lobby not only politically, but also for the mobilization of funds to support concrete projects in Kosovo.
