The President of the Republic of Kosovo, Mrs. Atifete Jahjaga received today Mr. Ismet Kabashi, Chief Prosecutor of State and Chairman of the Kosovo Prosecutorial Council.
Mr. Kabashi informed President Jahjaga about the work of the Kosovo Prosecutorial Council, about the progress and current challenges of the prosecutorial system in Kosovo. Likewise, the subject of the meeting was also the discussion of the undertaken actions of the Prosecutorial Council of Kosovo regarding the transition to a new organizational structure of the prosecution offices from 1 January 2013 according to the obligations foreseen by the laws of Kosovo.
President Atifete Jahjaga reiterated her continued support for cooperation with the Kosovo Prosecutorial Council for the creation of an independent and impartial prosecutorial system in Kosovo.
