Faller: Hungary wants a Kosovo in Europe as soon as possible

President Sejdiu met the Hungarian Secretary of State and Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Jenő Faller.

“Republic of Kosovo has only one vision and this is its integration into the European Union and NATO” – the President of Republic of Kosovo, Dr. Fatmir Sejdiu, said during a meeting he had today with the Hungarian Secretary of State and Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Jenő Faller.

Expressing our country’s institutions and people’s belief that the Hungarian support to achieving this fundamental objective of Kosovo will never be missing, President Sejdiu pointed out that Hungary was one of the first countries to recognize the independence of Kosovo.

“Hungary has and is playing an important part in the international support to our country, therefore we are determined to maintain and strengthen this spirit of good cooperation” – President Sejdiu added.

On the other hand, Mr. Jenő Faller assured President Sejdiu that Hungary will always maintain its interest in investing in and supporting Kosovo.

“We have our people in EULEX and KFOR and we will continue to provide a full support for Kosovo’s aspiration to get integrated into the European Union and NATO” – Mr. Jenő Faller affirmed. He expressed his commitment to strengthen the cooperation between the two countries and, in terms of politics, reaffirmed that Hungary wants a Kosovo integrated into Europe as soon as possible.
