Croatian President Kolinda Grabar-Kitarovic congratulates President Thaçi on the 10th Anniversary of Independence

Prishtina, February 16, 2018 - The President of Croatia, Kolinda Grabar-Kitarovic, on the eve of the tenth anniversary of the declaration of Kosovo’s independence has sent a congratulatory telegram to the President of the Republic of Kosovo, Hashim Thaçi.

Honoured Mr. President,

I cordially thank You for your letter in which you invite me to the solemn ceremony marking the tenth anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Kosovo, which will be held on February 18, 2018 in Prishtina

Unfortunately, due to previously agreed state obligations, I will not have the opportunity to be present at the mentioned event. Also, I would like to inform you that, at the solemn ceremony marking the tenth anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Kosovo, I will be represented by Mrs. Marija Kapitanovic, Ambassador of the Republic of Croatia in the Republic of Kosovo.

Mr. President, I wish You have a successful marking of this important anniversary, which is extremely important for Your country and the entire people of Kosovo. The Republic of Croatia strongly supports the independence and territorial integrity of the Republic of Kosovo, as well as the fulfillment of membership into Euro-Atlantic integrations.

I hope that we will soon have a chance to share our thoughts, about the perspectives for further the advancement of our reports and also about important issues that contribute to the stabilization of the situation in South-Eastern Europe and the completion of the European unification project.
