President Jahjaga said that the greater access of Kosovo to the UN, especially during the General Assembly meetings, would allow the introduction of the real situation for all the member countries and especially those who have not recognized its independence. President Jahjaga said that the Republic of Kosovo is engaged in the dialogue with the Republic of Serbia, and found that this is the only way to normalize relations with Serbia and the only way for Serbia to fulfill its obligations towards Kosovo. President Jahjaga said that Kosovo and Serbia are aiming the membership in the EU and regional cooperation and good neighborly relations are key to this process.
The President of the Republic of Kosovo, Madame Atifete Jahjaga, said the issue in the municipalities in northern Kosovo is a matter of rule of law and the Serbian criminal structures, backed by Serbia, is are holding hostage the Serbian citizens who want to have a normal life in Kosovo . She said that authorities in Serbia must stop supporting these organizations and the Serb community must cooperate with the Kosovo authorities to implement the Ahtisaari plan that guarantees all the rights for the Serb community in Kosovo.
The Chairman of the UN General Assembly Nassir Abdulaziz al Nasser said he will continue to support Kosovo in all initiatives and processes through which it is running.
During the visit to Abu Dhabi, President Jahjaga has also met a number of leaders and representatives of various countries.
